The album “THE ENTITY” is an esoteric-horror concept work consisting of 12 tracks dedicated to The Entity, the core figure behind the DEATH SS project. Its literary inspirations range from Aleister Crowley, who sought to liberate man by awakening his artistic genius, to characters by Hogg and Stevenson, who delve into the darker sides of human nature. The album features figures such as Jack the Ripper, Walter Sickert, Cimiteria, and others, all connected to the band’s mythology.
“The Entity” will also be available in its STANDARD edition in all record stores and digital platforms starting May 9th, released by Lucifer Rising Records / Self Distribuzione.
DEATH SS, founded in 1977 by Steve Sylvester, blend occultism, horror, erotic comics, and rock. The original group represented five horror monsters (vampire, mummy, werewolf, zombie, and phantom of the opera). After disbanding in 1982 and the death of the bassist, Sylvester reformed the band in 1988. Their discography includes albums like “In Death of Steve Sylvester,” “Heavy Demons,” and “Do What Thou Wilt,” with influences ranging from black metal to cyberpunk. In 2021, their tenth album “X” was released, along with new successes and prestigious concerts.
